Saturday, September 5, 2009 In Pursuit an art exhibition by Lloyd Dillon at Tribes Gallery from 6-9pm Recent paintings and narrative poetry (written on the walls), portray the journey of a mute street youth.

Thursday, September 10, 2009 Bringing all the poets together for you 8-10pm The Parish Hall at St.Mark’s Church in the Bowery, 131 East 10thst @ 2ndave, Come hear poets from the Bowery Poetry Club, Cave Canem, A Gathering of Tribes, Nuyorican Poets Cafe, and The Poetry Project.

Saturday, September 12, 2009 Tennessee Reed Presents Spell Albuquerque 2-5pm at Tribes Gallery Introduction by Ishmael Reed She will be reading from her memoirs as well as reading poetry from The City Beautiful, followed by a book signing.
