The year is 2012 and it is the time for humanity to see itself clearly.  Come celebrate the New Year and Erin Carmody’s first one-woman show in Manhattan!   Erin is a set theorist studying the infinite cardinals at the CUNY Graduate Center. Erin creates art, which expresses the intricacies of her inner life.  She painted 8 figures of archetypes present in her inner life with friends as models.  These 8 paintings also portray the phases of the moon.  Also, she paints the "words" of an internal universal voice, which wants to share the paradox of truth.  Beyond the meaning of her paintings, the artist also considers her pieces as color theory studies. In person, an observer could meditate upon these radiant works of art, as one would a piece by Barnett Newman.  All the paintings are done with oil, with about half on canvas, half on wood.  There are 14 pieces which will be included in the show with an average size of 3 feet by 3 feet.  Also, a portrait of the artist by Janet Bruesselbach is included in the exhibit.
