My psyche sisters manically 
paddle kayaks to nowhere 
while I float lazily in Lithium River. 

Virginia Woolf drifts by face down, 
and I slide an amethyst ring 
off her stone finger. 

I am charged, 
but I am harnessed. 


I am Anne Sexton’s eight Dalmatians 
she didn’t drown. 


I am the Empress of my tides.
