What is Fiscal Sponsorship?

A Gathering of the Tribes is a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit arts organization. By serving as a fiscal sponsor to individual artists, authors and collaborative groups, Tribes empowers traditionally underrepresented creators to access supportive resources and fundraising tools.

As a fiscally sponsored artist, author or collaborative group:

• You may apply to funders that require applicants to have 501 (c)(3) status, providing they accept fiscal sponsorship.

• You will receive funding support such as application review, report reminders, assistance processing funds.

• You may receive connection to new potential donors.

• You will have year-round access to the Foundation Center database.

• You will have your own profile page and donation button on tribes.org.

Applicant’s activities should align with our mission. A Gathering of the Tribes charges a 10% administrative fee for fiscal sponsorship.
