This shirt was produces jointly as a collaboration between Steve Cannon’s Estate and A Gathering of the Tribes.

AileenCreates is a self- taught free-lance poet & visual from New York , where she represented cultural institutions like The Nuyorican Poets Cafe, The Association of Hispanic Arts , and A Gathering of the Tribes in universities and other institutions all over the country.

She is a published award winning poet, a produced playwright and has performed and shown work from Joe's Pub at the Public Theater in NYC to IsArt Gallery in Montreal, Quebec to the Yerba Buena Cultural Center in San Francisco .She has shared stages with luminaries, Amiri Baraka, Pedro Pietri, and Sonia Sanchez, as well as some of her own contemporaries.

At 23, she had her first debut solo art exhibit Different Levels of Insanity, a wall of a 100 mixed media sculptures , These vibrant dolls as they were, were made mostly of bottles and jars mummified in colorful paper, made to appear like rope. Tribes Gallery, a non-profit space in the Lower East Side of Manhattan, was transformed by this colorful collection. The exhibit received critical acclaim, and gave birth to instant collectors. She has been making and selling art ever since.
