Turning into a Movie
I must be turning into a movie
shooting up like the stocks in your portfolio
drunk driving down the Westside Highway
just another manic-depressive Monday
rips his sock off his foot, wiggles hairy toes
a temporary sublet lost at summer’s end
an innocent assumption gone wrong
a drug that makes your skin tighter
reasons to follow traditional story structure
incompetent sidekick plotting revenge
force upon the master, debt reconsidered
working on something to ease the pain
it feels like you’re turning into a movie
when the lights warm the room
we sing of redemption, demonstrate grace
abundant hypocrisies flying out of our butts
like the wet farts of the words of politicians
get arrested hurting a capitalist
and bleed on your badge and send it to me
turning into a movie makes everything scenery
finding your best angles and counting cues
the whole world is an invitation to use
sprockets misfiring over audience horizon
distracted sensually, wallpapered tongue
telling the difference between the senses
and the epic feeling that things are happening
that are tearing the fabric of reality apart.
